thoUGhts

Spring Break came and went and now it is back to our normal routine.

I am back to work and counting the days for summer to start. Meanwhile the kids have less than a month before school is out and they are revving up. The talk at the dinner table has turned from how is school to what are we going to do this summer?
Our plan is to go to San Antonio for our yearly pilgrimage to visit my family. It is my desire to spend some time at my Grandparent's ranch and make memories for my kids. I am fortunate enough to actually have 3 of my 4 grandparents still living and while we still have a chance I would like to spend some precious time with them. I will write more on this later as it is making me sad reflecting now.

Today was my final evaluation for my hearing impaired job for this year. I still have not seen a contract and that is a good thing as I am trying to hold out for a job at my kids school. So I will keep that in my prayers and hope that that comes together for me.

We are frantically cleaning house for my mom and sister and her family to visit. They are journeying to Utah to witness my daughter receive her First Communion. We are all excited for this big step in her church life.
Then my mom will stay and help me while I have sinus surgery. (more on this later too)
I can not wait to see some of my family. Family it is what it is about!!!

Spring Break day 2- Couch Potatoes

Yes, he is sitting between clean, folded clothes that I have been yelling at them to take to their rooms!

This is the second day of Spring Break and the couch potatoes that are growing on my couch have gotten bigger and more demanding. I did manage to throw them outside for awhile, but what I thought would be a whole day of fun in the new fallen 8" of snow amounted to 30 min. of fighting for apparently the only good gloves we have and then another 15 min. crying over who in the end got the gloves and another 10 min. looking for gloves that might work for the time that we are playing outside. In the end the total time actually playing outside was 20 min. because then they came inside expecting hot chocolate. They were told however hot chocolate is for people who play in the snow at least an hour!

I will try again to toss them out this afternoon..... (now that we found all of our snow gear!)

Face Lift

It's suppose to be Spring and it is still snowing here in Utah- ugh! To help me feel more springy I gave my blog a new look, to reflect what I feel. Unfortunately the weather here is not cooperating.
Easter is two days away and we have not yet pulled our decorations and baskets out, nor have we dyed our eggs as my 8 year old keeps reminding me. Tomorrow is the day to do that. I still need to cook egg dishes so we have enough cascarones to go around for our traditional "Easter cascarone battle".
